Pierre Jeanneret - Authentic PJ-R-27-B
Multiple items are available, please contact us for current stock and shipping options: contact@biccidemedici.com
Authentic PJ-R-27-B by Pierre Jeanneret - This double-sided low cupboard, known as “5-hole rack” or "file rack” by Pierre Jeanneret, usually made in solid sisso (Indian rosewood) or teak, was created for the city of Chandigarh in India, the utopian city designed by his cousin Le Corbusier. A sideboard with four similar compartments and one double compartment at the side higher up. The legs are formed by the body's two side panels. The reduced shape creates a raw, very sharp, and fierce piece. Avoiding any nonsense and otiose, it almost has a Japanese design character. All joints are hidden so that the patinated wood and clear shape are visible. Use it as a bookshelf, sideboard, or even as a room divider.
Medium Production 100 to 300 models
Photos of the current and original state - Comes with authenticity certificate. For further pictures, questions or remarks, please feel free to ask. Item will be shipped insured and packed in a wooden crate.
