A set of four pre-war Italian wall sconces in bronze, circa 1930 - 40s, unknown designer. Geometric, straightforward architectural design that reflects the elegance of the Italian Art Deco on the one hand, but also of the later Italian Art Deco period, which moved toward Rationalism. The angular lines and patinated metal lend a refined yet understated presence, characteristic of the late 1930s aesthetic.
