This model was produced in different variants in several sizes and foot widths. Detachable top fixed on two “angle”-type V-legs. Solid and veneered teak. Produced for the High Court (1955), Punjab University, library of various departments.
This specific table was likely part of the temporary Punjab Agricultural Unit in Chandigarh between 1955 and 1962, before PAU became an independent university in Ludhiana. The marking P.A.U/Pb/MS.LIB indicates that it was originally intended for the library of this provisional department: Punjab Agricultural Unit / Punjab / Main Section Library.
Currently in unrestored (oiled) condition. Can be finished as per your desire in a matte, satin, or gloss finish.
