Solid teak coffee table with a circular top and three protruding, log-style legs. Designed for the PGI Hospital in Chandigarh around 1965 à 66. This model shows the practical and thoughtful design typical of mid-century furniture from Chandigarh.
The three-legged base shows clear influence from a form originally created by Charlotte Perriand for the BCC and l’Équipement de la Maison. A rare, honest piece with a warm patina.
