Administrative desk, circa 1960, made for the city of Chandigarh, India. Also known as the PJ-BU-19-A desk.
Top fixed on an “X” leg. One side has a small single cabinet door with aluminum detail. The other side four drawers with aluminum recessed pulls. Drawers and cabinet in solid teak, top in blockwood with teak veneer. These desks were designed for administrative buildings.

Provenance: Chandigarh - India. This specific desk was likely part of the temporary Punjab Agricultural Unit in Chandigarh between 1955 and 1962, before PAU became an independent university in Ludhiana. The marking “P.A.U / Registrar Office / T-89” indicates that it was originally intended for the Registrar’s Office of this provisional department.

The desk is fully restored and finished with a satin varnish.
Normal wear and tear due to age - very good vintage condition.
